Crowd milling towards the Al Aqsa mosque after Iran’s missile attack on Israel

Newschecke noticed several comments that called out the video as unrelated to the recent attack on Israel by Iran, following which we split the video into keyframes and conducted reverse image searches on the keyframes from the video.
The search threw up several similar videos, all from the first week of April. We also came up on Instagram posts carrying the same video which were also posted on April 5 and April 6, 2024, proving that the video predates the recent attack on Israel by Iran.
We also found an X post that carried videos with frames bearing similarities to the viral video, with the caption, “Nearly 70,000 people gathered at Al-Aqsa Mosque in #AlQuds after the dawn prayer earlier on the last Friday of Ramadan to cheer for the resistance.”
Another post by @GlobeEyeNews also carried a video with similar frame, informing that the video was from Al-Aqsa mosque, on the night of Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th night of Ramazan, and one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar.
Hence we can conclude that the viral video is at least one week old and not related to the recent attack on Israel by Iran.
